'WEB PERV' HIT WITH GIRL-RAPE RAP
September 5, 2003 -- A 20-year-old Web surfer who
used the cyberhandle "PimpSlo" to seduce a 13-year-old
girl over the Internet was charged yesterday with raping and sodomizing
the teen in her own home, officials said.
Ricardo Brice, of Central Islip, is accused of using the Internet
to chat up the Ossining teenager over a four-month period.
Police and prosecutors said Brice began corresponding with the girl,
then set up a rendezvous at her home. They said Brice drove to Ossining
at the end of July and had consensual sex with her, then returned
on Aug. 18 and broke in after discovering no one was home.
He had sex with a 13-year old girl that he met on the Internet.
What a nightmare. I think this incident could have been avoided
if her time on the computer was being monitored, either by the mother
or a monitoring program.
The girl's mother called police to report the break-in, and investigators
determined the intruder had gone through the girl's bedroom.
After interrogating the child and her mother, police went online
pretending to be the girl.
Cops on Wednesday obtained a search warrant for Brice's home and
arrested him.
Brice was charged with second-degree rape, second-degree sodomy
and third-degree burglary, and was being held without bail until
his next court appearance on Tuesday. If convicted, he faces seven
years in state prison.
"It happened again," said Westchester County DA Jeanine
Pirro. "This is an example of how pedophiles are using the
Internet to attack these kids."
